Post Rehab Fitness

7 Reasons why EVERY client discharged from therapy needs Post Rehab Fitness Training:

  • Post rehab fitness is specifically designed to manage the client after discharge; preventing injury and improving or maintaining functional gains. (Particularly important for individuals with spinal disorders, the possibility of re-injury is significant in the first couple of months.)

  • A Certified Post-Rehab Specialist will be able to identify red flags that indicate the client is in need of a referral back to the physio, chiropractor or physician.

  • Post-rehab does provide diagnosis or treatment, but is the augmentation to the treatment services provided.

  • After six to eight weeks of passive mobility treatment, research clearly recommends exercise as the key to improve health and function.

  • At some point the patient is discharged from your care with the goal to complete an independent exercise program. Post-rehab exercise, even done once a week, will maintain functional gains and provide the needed additional support to the patient in managing their exercise program.

  • Exercise is the key to long-term management of most medical conditions. Whether the client has cardiovascular, neurological disorder or musculoskeletal disorder, physicians will advise the patient to continue on with their medications, follow diet recommendations and continue with exercise.

  • A client is more likely to refer friends & family, and become a return patient for other injuries, if they were able to successfully resolve their initial injury and feel the therapist was truly invested in their well being and return to full health.
